Demo: Luminous Cloth

The Luminous Cloth preset demonstrates real-time interaction between Blender’s native Cloth simulation physics engine and Reactive Surface FX’s reactive surface pipeline.

Overview & Architecture

  • Deforming Cloth Target: A flowing, high-density cloth pinned and draped over geometric pedestals under active cloth simulation.

  • Animated Sculpture Drivers: Polished metallic sculptures rotate and push into the underside and folds of the cloth.

  • Contact Luminescence: As the cloth drapes over and slides along the sculptures, glowing contact contours form across the fabric weave.

  • Kinetic Surface Waves: Combined with Wave Ripple, physical impacts on the cloth send traveling ripples across the fabric surface, beautifully accentuating the cloth simulation’s organic folds.
